We’ve been in London for almost a year and to support our drive to build an exceptional team, we’re looking for a Big Data Architect to develop market leading business intelligence (BI) solutions in an agile product team that will give us a competitive advantage in our industry.
What’s the role?
This is a Senior Manager position and one that will see you contribute to the evolving team’s culture of experience, innovation, enthusiasm and passion, contribute to the architecture of the projects the BI teams embarks on, develop and support enterprise scale business intelligence solutions in an environment of Technologies including Hadoop and related toolsets, SQL Server 2008 R2, SSMS, Excel.
You’ll be working in agile teams to deliver high quality solutions, mentoring other members of the team and championing specific technologies and technique. As the senior member of the team, you’ll ensure that development is delivered to a high quality, on time and budget to the agreed requirements.
Is this you?
You’ll have a good understanding of Big Data Analytics Technologies including Hadoop/Hive and Spark. You’ll most likely have worked up from a developer background and be skilled in various languages including JAVA, C#, Python and Scala, strong SQL programming skills. You’ll be hands on in prototyping and POCing technologies, frameworks and high-risk components of projects. You’ll have real understanding of Data Science skills including R or Matlab and understand all the benefits of Test Driven Development (TDD). When we meet you’ll be able to easily demonstrate skills in:
- Multiple VCS including DVCS (e.g. git)
- Agile Development Environments
- Continuous Delivery / Integration
- A Good environmental aptitude
- Skilled in developing complex solutions whilst maintaining the KIS approach
